FILMS

We are all storytellers, we all have stories to tell, but not until these stories are translated into audio-visual forms will they reach their audiences and touch hearts. Therefore a handful of filmmakers; enthusiastic, experienced and passionate, along with motivated artists in various genres with significant contributions to their respective fields under their belt, have congregated from Nepal to the UK, establishing Sungabha Production. Sungabha Production is a platform that translates the stories of everyday lives into films, it is a platform in which young talents achieve their creative ambition and it is a platform that helps convey stories across the globe.

We welcome other banners willing to work collaboratively with us to make films and documentaries.

Feature Films

Sungabha Production aims to produce at least one feature film every year. A framework of the first feature film is already underway. We encourage our viewers to communicate with us and share their stories. We value and take into consideration any suggestions our viewers make.

Progressive and dynamic as our production is, we do not hesitate to invest in making so-called non-commercial films, which are educational and based mainly on ethnic, cultural, historical and social phenomena.

Short Films

We are characters playing roles in every moment of our lives in the absence of cameras. Hence, our days make up a series of short movies. Sungabha Production, at its core, operates with this in mind, we set up the camera and capture the unfolding events.

Making short films is also our priority as it helps maintain the relationship between the viewer and us.

Tele Serials

This is one of the priorities of our production. It has been long enough since the Nepalese have settled in the UK. While they struggle to maintain their inherited culture, the new generation seem to have succumbed entirely to the western modus operandi creating polarity within the families. The story of this sort and various others will draw the attention of both Nepalese and non-Nepalese audiences. Our production shall bring those stories to you episode by episode fashion in the coming days.

Documentaries

Sungabha Production endeavours to deliver informed programmes about the experiences of Nepalese people worldwide. Over 3.5m Nepalese live abroad as low or unskilled labour though most are well educated and hold a degree. By bringing their stories to the audience, we can direct the Nepalese government’s focus to establish a constructive, instrumental and innovative education system in place of the traditional archetype currently present.

Our hope is for Sungabha production to move to the production of meaningful archival documentaries gradually.
